Despite only being in the business for five short years, Nick Drake's sombre sound and hauntingly beautiful lyrics still resonnate in music today. He has influenced such artists as Robert Smith, David Sylvian, The Dream Academy, and The Black Crowes and is credited as being one of the most influential English singer-songwriters of the last 50 years.

Having seen the previous work I did while on my residency at Timberyard for the Touchstones Earth Continuum Project, I was contacted by Bryter Music, the estate of Nick Drake and Molly Drake to make a shorter version to accompany Pink Moon from the final album that Nick recorded before his untimely death in 1974. This is the launch film for a new YouTubeNick Drake Channel and is part of a much larger music/film project by Bryter Music and Blue Raincoat Music.

All the photographs were taken at night at Timberyard in Great Glenham Suffolk as part of my continual residency investigating and documenting the penumbral appearances in the landscape.
